Garden volunteers raised a half-ton of produce for the needy

Nail trims for dogs help raise funds for vet project

UC Davis veterinary students will return to the Westlake Market, 1260 Lake Blvd., from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday to offer nail trims for dogs. Students are raising funds to help defray the costs of their volunteer service project of bringing veterinary care to under-served Central American communities. The suggested donation is $10 per dog.
