After a courageous battle with brain cancer (glioblastoma multiforme IV), Dennis completed his journey peacefully at home with his wife by his side and daughters close by. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Donna Kenfield (his ÒPookieÓ); his daughters, Lauren (Lo-lo), Anna (Banana), Sara (Beara); his step-children Alexandra, Matt, Leah Randazzo; his mother Eileen Clift; his brothers Ron (Donna) and Jim Clift; and his nephew Ryan and nieces Korey and Rachel.

He will also be missed by DonnaÕs family along with many friends.

A military brat born in France, DennisÕs family settled in Davis, Calif. where he attended junior high and high school and secured many life-long friends. He graduated from UC Davis (B.S. Civil Engineering) and Sacramento State (M.A. Engineering). Dennis worked as a civil engineer with several firms in the Sacramento area and, most recently, with Kimley-Horn and Associates of Rancho Cordova.

Dennis was a lover of life. He enjoyed good food and good wine. He loved to travel and he and Donna enjoyed several trips to Hawaii, Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula.

He was thrilled to share a recent trip to Puerto Vallarta with his three daughters (Queso!). He was passionate about sand, sun, beer and good tacos! He invented the famed ÒTaco CrawlÓ during his golf vacations to Mexico.

Dennis thoroughly enjoyed physical activities: hiking, golfing, playing softball, bicyclingÑhe liked to go big. Dennis recently added Harley riding and had several great rides with Donna and friends Dennis and Judi Manley.

While Dennis had a high I.Q. (142, he would tell you), he had a higher social IQ. He was truly gifted on how he made people feel special and appreciated. He was definitely one of the good guys and he will be missed.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 19 at the UCD Alumni Center. The family requests you to honor Dennis by wearing your favorite Hawaiian shirt.
