The Old Time Harvest Days festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Woodland, at the West Street/Road 99 exit from Interstate 5, at the northeast corner of the interchange.
This celebration of CaliforniaÕs farming heritage will showcase tractors, engines and power-driven machinery dating from the late 1890s through the early 1950s. More than 100 machines are expected to be displayed.
Many antique gas engines, which power period farming equipment, will permit spectators to experience the machinery that was integral to life in the west of yesteryear.
Mike Carson, a blacksmith from Guinda, will operate an old-time blacksmith shop. Tractor parades Saturday and Sunday will allow collectors to share their restored treasures.
This show is produced by the Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association.
Vendors will sell food, and the Heidrick Ag History Center and the Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association will staff information booths.
Admission is free, although donations will be welcome, to offset expenses.
