Applegate Dance StudioÕs ÒSummer Dance MedleyÓ will take place this weekend at the VeteransÕ Memorial Theater, 203 E. 14th St., Davis. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Approximately 75 performers, ranging in ages from 6 to 42 Ñ including, from left, Shaila Bonanno, Natalie Kelly and Savannah Kopp Ñ will perform 18 short pieces choreographed by Lisa Applegate-Zimanyi and Cara Rains. The styles will include ballet, theater dance, jazz, tribal, swing and modern dance, and the program will feature pieces such as ÒHuna Mana,Ó ÒRock Me AmadeusÓ and ÒSwing, Swing, Swing.Ó A tribute to Michael Jackson will include the numbers ÒMan in the MirrorÓ and ÒSmooth Criminal.Ó Darwin Black, of the Sacramento Ballet, will perform with Kelly (in ÒBelle de la MerÓ) and Monica Fadel (in ÒStars and StripesÓ). Black also will present a short solo. Advance tickets, at $12, are available at the Nugget Market on Covell Boulevard. Tickets at the door will be $14.
