In SundayÕs paper, in the letter to the editor from Judy Capurro, Judy was upset because The Enterprise ceased publishing the church information that had been available in the printed version of FridayÕs Enterprise. The Enterprise response was to refer to the online version.
We realize in todayÕs world of technology a large percentage of the population relies heavily on the world of cyberspace. But please take into consideration that a large percentage does not equal 100 percent; many subscribers do not have computers or, even if so, prefer the printed version of your fine newspaper.
As Judy said, please Òreturn the church calendar with all possible speed.Ó

*EditorÕs note: Forgive us for our brief reply to JudyÕs letter. What we should have said is that, in a perfect world, we would continue publishing the religious services directory every Friday in The Enterprise. But these are financially challenging times for newspapers, and we are making difficult decisions about how best to use our limited space and resources. We appreciate that readers prefer information in our print edition; we do, too! But right now, the best we can offer is that we hope to publish the religious services directory in our annual Welcome to Davis edition in September, and we will continue to feature it on our website, www.davisenterprise.com.
