Ten contestants, performing as soloists and duets, will compete for cash prizes in ÒBlue Devils: You Think You Can Dance?,Ó taking place at 7 p.m. Saturday at Davis High SchoolÕs Brunelle Performance Hall, 315 W. 14th St. A panel of three judges will select the winner of the $200 grand prize, and audience members will cast their votes for the PeopleÕs Choice winner. As part of the event, contestants will perform a dance taught by Cara Rains, choreographer for the DHS Jazz Choir; the ensembleÕs members include, from left, Tyler DeLaughder, Ariella Wolfe, Amber Bianchi and Spencer Bowen. Guest dancers at SaturdayÕs event will include the Applegate Dance Studio, an Irish dance group and Òtwo enthusiastic Davis school board members.Ó Proceeds will help fund the DHS Jazz ChoirÕs trip to New York City in April, where the ensemble will participate in the Finale Nationals Show Choir Championship.
