Davis
For the past year, a group of committed and energetic volunteers have worked thousands of hours to plan a fun and safe all-night party for DavisÕ high school graduates. A theme was chosen and kept secret throughout the countless meetings, planning nights and crafting get-togethers during the past nine months. This Friday between 4 and 7 p.m., the community is invited to walk through the halls of Emerson Junior High School and view this amazing transformation that has become such a treasured tradition in Davis.
It is impossible to thank the hundreds of people who have been involved in putting this event together, but three people need special recognition. Sue Carter has served as the Grad Night chair, leading the effort and living and breathing every detail. Mary Nicholson and Wendy Allen have been the decorating chairs, overseeing teams of volunteers whose job it has been to physically transform Emerson into an incredible all-night party venue.
Come see what itÕs all about and get a sneak preview of the party before it all begins later Friday night. It does take a village to put on such a huge event and IÕm proud to live in the village of Davis where community is felt day in and day out by events and traditions such as Grad Night.
