ObamaÕs campaign manager to talk
David Plouffe, political campaign manager for President Obama, will discuss his book, ÒThe Audacity to WinÓ during a presentation at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at the Crest Theater, 1013 K St., Sacramento.
PlouffeÕs presentation will open the 2010-11 California Lectures series. Susan Fanetti, an associate professor of English at Sacramento State University, will give a lecture preview at 6:30 p.m.
Plouffe was the chief architect of the groundbreaking campaign that put Obama into the White House. PlouffeÕs grassroots approach and use of technology helped guide Obama to his victory. ÒThe Audacity to WinÓ recounts the story of ObamaÕs run for the White House, and shows how the campaign revolutionized politics.
Tickets Ñ $30 general, $15 students Ñ are on sale at the Crest box office and all Tickets.com outlets.
