Show off holiday spirit by entering contest

Monday is the deadline to enter your home in The Davis Enterprise\’s annual holiday decorating contest. Winners will receive cash prizes and be featured in a special holiday edition Sunday, Dec. 19, just in time for pre-Christmas community touring.

A panel of judges will select winners in five categories: best individual house, “greenest” display, best use of available space (for those with small apartments and tiny yards), most original decorative theme and most creative (hand-made decorations).
\n
Those who hire professional decorating companies are not eligible for this contest. Purchased display products are acceptable, but the decorating effort itself must be home-grown. And submissions must come from the entrants themselves, not from friends or neighbors.

Entry forms are being published in The Enterprise. Entries are due by 5 p.m. Monday.
\n
Judging will take place between 6 and 10 p.m. Dec. 7-9 — so please, folks, be sure to turn on your displays on those evenings! — and the winners will be announced Dec. 19.
