Rock, blues, folk and roots music by Hardwater is on tap at Wednesday’s Picnic in the Park celebration, from 5 to 8:30- p.m. in Central Park, Third and C streets. The Davis-based band performs original songs and covers of tunes by the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Grateful Dead, Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies and the Dave Matthews Band. Summer produce is bountiful at the Farmers Market, and families are invited to enjoy dinner from a variety of food vendors. Members of Soroptimist International of Davis will pour beer and wine, to benefit local charities. Children’s entertainment includes the bicycle-powered carousel, Rocknasium’s climbing structure, bounce houses, face painting and balloon-maker Dilly Dally the Clown. For more information, call (530) 756-1695 or visit http://www.davisfarmersmarket.org.
