“Radium Girls,” directed by Maddy Ryen, features historical characters such as Madame Curie, Arthur Roeder and others and is set in 1926, when radium was a miracle cure, Curie was an international celebrity and luminous watches were the latest rage. The play unfolds in a tale of courage, exploitation, love, workers’ rights and sacrifice.

The play opens Friday, Jan. 4, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Pamela Trokanski Performing Arts Center, 2720 Del Rio Place, Davis. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays.
