Acme Theatre Company to hold auditions

Acme Theatre Company invites all ninth- to 12th-grade students to audition for its upcoming spring productions of “The Big Guns: Or, Whose Little Lily is She?” and “Bullshot Crummond.”

“The Big Guns” is Western radio play full of cowboys, outlaws and saloon girls. “Bullshot Crummond” is zany, loving parody of the British pulp detective-heroes of the 1930s.

Auditions will be held from 3:45 to 6:45 Monday and Tuesday, March 11-12. Call backs will be from 2:45 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, for “Bullshot Crummond” and Thursday, March 14, for “The Big Guns.” Audition location is to be announced. The location will be emailed to those who sign up.

“Big Guns” rehearsals will be held after school April 8 to May 9 with performances on May 10, 11. “Bullshot Crummond” rehearsals will be held after school March 18 to May 24 with performances on Memorial Day weekend, May 24-27, at the Davis Art Center Outdoor Stage.
