The Senior Art Show and “ReXpo” will be on display from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the Woodland Community and Senior Center, 2001 East St. The YMCA Wellness and Fitness Center also will host an open house and the Senior Center Inc.’s White Elephant Thrift Store will be open.
There will be snacks, demonstrations, bounce houses, tours and prizes. Those registering for classes also will receive an early registration discount.
Instructors and information will be available on summer programs and ongoing fitness classes including swim lessons, the recreational swim team, summer day camp, zumba, yoga and the city’s boxing program. Facility tours and information on summer park reservations also will be available.
Attendees can learn about programs and opportunities for seniors including the Community Care Car, Elderly Nutrition, Affordable Adventures and the teens helping seniors program.
At the Senior Art Show, wine tastings from Route 3 and Bogle Winery will be available. Senior artisans that attend classes held at the Senior Center will display their work. Artwork includes paintings, drawings, ceramics, needlework, quilting and wood carvings. Some artwork may be for sale.
