Artists offered free exhibit space at I-House

International House, Davis offers artists free exhibition space in the Art Deco building at 10 College Park. The Art Committee meets quarterly to review framed submissions and the next review date is Friday, Aug. 9.

Artists, watercolorists and photographers may bring their submissions to I-House the Thursday before the Art Committee meets.

Jeffrey Granett is the chair of the I-House Art Committee. Photographer Carlos Palacio will show his exhibit “Form and Colors of Colombia” with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 12. There will be a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, for Bob Sommer’s exhibit, “Farmers’ Market Veggies.”

International House is open to the public in the summer between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Office hours during winter months are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. I-House offers language classes, dance classes, cooking classes and more to members of the public and students.
