ARTober comes to Woodland

By From page A9 | October 01, 2013

YoloArts, the county’s arts council, has been cultivating a “farm to art” movement that culminates each year with an agriculture themed exhibition, Art Farm. Artists from Yolo, Placer, Sacramento, Sonoma, Yuba, and Solano counties are participating in this year’s enhanced Art Farm exhibition, a portion that will be juried for the first time. Rachel Teagle, director of the UC Davis Schrem Art Museum serves as the guest juror and has selected 43 of the artworks for inclusion in the show, that also features 68 works of art to be “harvested” (sold) at the upcoming Art Harvest fundraiser.
The Art Farm show’s ARTober opening reception festivities will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Gallery 625, in the Erwin Meier Administration Building, 625 Court St. in Woodland.
