Atria Covell Gardens hosts 49ers banjo player

Jack Convery, the San Francisco 49ers band director and “best banjoist in the NFL,” will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Atria Covell Gardens, 1111 Alvarado Ave. in Davis. This free event is open to the public.

Convery, who is also a singer and guitarist, plays everything from jazz to country to pop. He worked with legendary entertainers such as Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Arthur Godfrey, Willie Nelson and The Temptations.

Convery founded Banjosnowtrain.com and co-founded the Summerjazzbanjofestival.com.
