Beauty pageant benefits leukemia research

Tickets are still available for the first “Princess of Hope” charity beauty pageant, to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Youths ages 3-18 are competing.

The pageant will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Woodland Opera House, Second and Main streets in downtown Woodland.

Tickets are $16 general and $10 for children 12 and under, and are on sale at the Woodland Opera House box office, (530) 666-9617.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, organizer Tara Vittone said.
