Cache Creek summer concert series begins May 21

By
April 19, 2011 |

Cache Creek Casino Resort is bringing out the stars this summer to play “under the stars” in the resort’s new 3,000-seat outdoor amphitheater. The venue, just south of the casino, will feature raised seating in an intimate, theater-style configuration.

The first show scheduled for the new stage is rock icon John Fogerty on May 21. Following are Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx on May 28, Thai superstar Takatan Cholada on May 29, Motown legend Smokey Robinson on June 4, “As 1 World Tour” with Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera on June 11, the Vietnamese show “Paris by Night” on June 25, Motown superstars The Temptations with the Chi-Lites and The New Stylistics on July 2, and George Benson with DMS (featuring George Duke, Marcus Miller and David Sanborn) on Aug. 27.

Additional shows will be announced later this spring.

“This is an exciting announcement for both Cache Creek Casino Resort and its owners, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation,” General Manager Randy Takemoto said in a news release. “In addition, a portion of the Summer Stage Concert Series proceeds will be contributed to support music programming for our local students.”

Tickets are available at http://www.tickets.com, by phone at (800) 225-2277 or at http://www.cachecreek.com and Cache Creek Casino Resort guest services.
