Cajun sounds to fill The Palms

By
From page A9 | April 15, 2014 |

Tom Rigney and Flambeau will play their Cajun-flavored danceable music at 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, at The Palms Playhouse, 13 Main St. in Winters.

Rigney, a fiery violinist/composer, joined forces with some of the finest musicians on the San Francisco music scene to form Tom Rigney and Flambeau. Rigney composes most of Fambeau’s songs, although the shows are spiced with classics from the Cajun/zydeco/New Orleans songbook.

His charismatic stage presence, humor and high-energy showmanship pull the audience into his performances and make them feel that they are a part of the music and the show.

The West Coast Blues Hall of Fame Best Cajun/Zydeco Band features Rigney on violin, Danny Caron on electric guitar, Caroline Dahl on keyboard and accordion, Steve Parks on bass and Brent Rampone on drums.

The dance floor will be open.

Tickets are $20 and are available at Armadillo Music in Davis, Watermelon Music in Woodland, Pacific Ace Hardware in Winters and at the door if not sold out. For more information, visit palmsplayhouse.com or rigomania.com.
