Cash Tribute Band plays The Palms

By From page A7 | July 11, 2013

Fans of Johnny Cash’s music and of classic country music in general are in for a treat when James Garner and his band bring Cash’s music to vibrant life at an 8 p.m. show Saturday, July 13, at The Palms Playhouse, 13 Main St. in Winters. Tickets are $20.

Those who are fans of the late Johnny Cash or are hearing this project for the first time should enjoy hearing music played the way Cash and the Tennessee Three played it: no fancy bells and whistles and Hollywood hoopla, just solid country music featuring Garner on acoustic guitar and vocals, Vacaville’s Denis Colleret on lead guitar, Rick Duncan on bass, and Steve Hutton on drums.

Tickets are available at Armadillo Music in Davis, Watermelon Music in Woodland, Pacific Ace Hardware in Winters and at the door if not sold out. For more information, visit palmsplayhouse.com and cashtribute.net.
