Road Crew will bring its eclectic mix of folk, oldies rock, country, blues, calypso and Tex-Mex music to Picnic in the Park on Wednesday, April 16, from 5 p.m. to dark. The festivities are in Central Park, Fourth and C streets.

The band consists of Wendy Silk (vocals, accordion and keyboards), Ron Goldberg (vocals, guitar, mandolin and ukulele), Halley Miller (drums), Don Schmitt (vocals and bass) and Richard Scozzari (vocals, guitar and mandolin).

Bring your own picnic or buy dinner at the food fair, where there is a wide array of choices. Members of Soroptimist International of Davis will pour local beer and wine to raise money for local charities.

Children’s entertainment includes Central Park’s bicycle-powered carousel, Rocknasium’s climbing structure, bounce houses, face-painting and balloon-maker Dilly Dally the Clown.

Spring produce — asparagus, greens, snap peas, lettuces and strawberries — plus local eggs, honey and meat fill the market, with craft booths at the north end.

For more information, call 530-756-1695 or visit www.davisfarmersmarket.org to see the music schedule for the entire Picnic in the Park season, which continues every Wednesday evening through October.
