Celebrate arts, animals in Winters

By
From page A9 | March 19, 2014 |

The public is invited to come out from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, at RootStock in Winters and meet the founders of the 3R Rescue and enjoy the art of several local artists, including former art teacher Sally Paul.
Paul has created several pet paintings on display in the gallery and has generously donated a painting to be raffled. All the proceeds from the raffled painting go to 3R Rescue. During this event you will enjoy a complimentary music performance by Midnight Jazz Trio.

Winters’ Weekend of Art continues with art on display around town all weekend starting at 6 p.m. Friday and running through 4 p.m. Sunday. Locations hosting art are Berryessa Gap, RootStock, Turkovich Wines, Spin-A-Yarn and Brass Tacks, Putah Creek Café and the Winters Visitor’s Center. Additional locations with featured art are Steady Eddy’s and the Clay Grounds.

There will be art demonstrations from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at RootStock, Berryessa Gap and Spin-A-Yarn. RootStock will feature Paul, working to live music by Belle Francisco. Berryessa Gap will have chalk pastel artist Jean Sanchirico, and Spin-A-Yarn will be hosting a spinning demo.
For more information, call 530-794-6008 or visit rootstockgifts.com.
