Celebrate cultures Sundays at I-House

By From page A7 | March 27, 2013

The second season of Sundays at I-House, an ongoing fundraiser benefiting International House, Davis, continues from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday. The event features cross-cultural open-mic performances of music and spoken word and takes place at I-House, 10 College Park.

A variety of performers from Davis will comprise the majority of the evening’s entertainment. The featured performer for the evening will be guitarist David Hafter, who will play at approximately 8 p.m. Hafter specializes in both original tunes and folk rock arrangements of songs from the 1960s to today’s indie artists’ most notable hits.

Admission to the all-ages event is free and donations are welcome. Guests also may purchase beverages and desserts.

Sundays at I-House, co-produced by James Williams and Matthew Harral, embodies the goals of I-House to welcome foreign student and visitors, and to bring many cultures together for a broad range of entertainment and educational opportunities.
