The second season of Sundays at I-House, a unique on-going fundraiser benefitting International House Davis, 10 College Park, concludes its Celebration of Spring offering with more cross-cultural open-mic performances of music and spoken word beginning at 6:45 p.m. Sunday.
The evening’s featured performer is local musician Jackie Carroll, who kicks things off at 8 p.m. An amusing and engaging performer, Carroll is a classically trained singer with a passion for writing Americana songs about friends and family. As well as guitar, he also plays an upright fiddle.
Admission to this unique fundraiser remains free, and open to all ages. Donations of any size are appreciated. As well guests are encouraged to make purchases of beverages and desserts.
Co-producers James Williams and Matthew Harral will host this venue that welcomes diversity, and improvisation. All cultures and ages are invited to share their talents, and to enjoy the rich cultural diversity of talent in our community. Sundays at I-House embodies the goal of International House which is to welcome foreign student and visitors, and to bring many cultures together for a broad range of entertainment and educational opportunities.
