By May 24, 2011

Joy Cohan, who steps down as director of the Davis Downtown Business Association on July 1, discusses the state of downtown and what she has learned from four years on the job on the current “Davisville” radio program.

She discusses initiatives to draw more people downtown, the “community covenant” to reduce the drunken excesses of Picnic Day, the gift card program that has produced $125,000 in sales so far, and where she’s headed next, among other subjects.

“Davisville,” hosted by Bill Buchanan, airs on KDRT 95.7 FM at 5:30 p.m. Mondays, 8:30 a.m. Wednesdays, 10:30 p.m. Fridays and 7:30 a.m. Saturdays. The interview with Cohan debuted Monday and will air through June 4. It is also available in the KDRT program archives at http://www.kdrt.org/node/6954.
