Community is invited to fill up holiday art tree

By From page A9 | December 05, 2013

Art-is-Davis invites the community to help fill the holiday tree with original artwork made on the spot, at 222 D St. in downtown Davis.

From noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 15, individuals may stop in the center and design, paint or collage a 4-by-4-inch canvas. Art-is-Davis supplies all materials needed, but there is a $2 fee to cover expenses.

A special night of painting is planned Friday, Dec. 13, as part of the Second Friday ArtAbout.

The art work will join works created by area artists on a giant holiday tree. Individuals can claim their work Dec. 21 and 22.
