Davis’ own Preoccupied Pipers — former members of the now-defunct band Lawsuit — bring their quirky musical stylings to the E Street Plaza in downtown Davis on Saturday, Aug. 23, for The 1,000 Red Roses Concert: A Benefit for the Davis Arts Center. The event will run from 7 to 10 p.m.

They’ll be joined by singer-songwriter Adrian West and the Adrian West Trio, plus Bay Area pop musicians The Corner Laughers. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for The 1,000 Red Roses Fund, which allows the Davis Arts Center to hire sign-language interpreters for hearing-impaired students, enabling them to participate in art classes. The fund was established in 1995.

For more information and to donate, contact Erie Vitiello at the Davis Arts Center, 530-756-4100 or [email protected]
