Contestants needed for Community Idol

By From page A9 | August 28, 2012

Are you someone with undiscovered amazing vocal talent? Are you craving your 15 minutes of fame in the stage’s spotlight?

If so, enter to be a contestant at Davis’ “Community Idol” competition on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at Davis High’s Brunelle Performance Hall.

DHS’ Advanced Treble Choir sponsors this fun, talent-filled event and will make its school-year performance debut along with the local band, Brother Jimmie and the New Deal — featuring Davis Joint Unified School District Superintendent Winfred Roberson and DHS teacher Chris Lee.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age — Davis residents will be given priority — and all are eligible to win a cash prize. Applications are due on Sept. 7 and can be downloaded from the ATC website: www.dhstreblechoir.org. For more information, email Cynthia Hills at [email protected] All proceeds benefit ATC’s music enrichment program.
