Cool music at Monticello

As temperatures soar, keep cool with the pleasant musical sounds at Monticello, 630 G St.

Wednesdays — July 10, 17, 24, 31 — are open mic night from 8:30 to 11 p.m., hosted by Jan Peters.

Fridays, starting July 12, feature the violin and octave mandolin stylings fo Bob Wren from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Ken Kemmerling tickles the ivories from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturdays July 13, 20, 27.

Folk and classical music by Bob and Donna Wren will fill the venue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 14.
