Cold Shot and Sandy Holman bring their lively show of beloved cover tunes mixed with catchy original compositions to Picnic in the Park on Wednesday. They’ll perform from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in Central Park, Fourth and C streets, alongside the Davis Farmers Market.

Cold Shot and Sandy Holman, award-winning author and director of the Culture Co-op, first teamed up more than five years ago to begin writing, recording and performing Holman’s songs.

Picnickers can expect to hear plenty of iconic favorites from The Beatles, Bon Jovi, Van Morrison, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Prince, Santana, Marvin Gaye, Pink, Gloria Estefan and more.

The Farmers Market is full of seasonal produce, including melons, apricots, loquats, blackberries, strawberries, peaches, nectarines, plums, tomatoes, corn, avocados, snap peas, string beans, bok choy, greens, lettuces, herbs, carrots and potatoes. Shoppers also can find local free-range eggs, honey, olive oil, jams, dried fruit, nuts, flowers and garden starts.

The food fair offers a wide array of dinner specialties, including Caffé Italia’s presents “Pizzas with a Purpose” to benefit the Davis Farm to School Connection, with toppings from local farmers. Members of Soroptimist International of Davis will pour beer and wine, with proceeds benefiting the service club’s local charities.

Children’s entertainment includes the bicycle-powered carousel, Rocknasium’s climbing structure, bounce houses, face painting and balloon-maker Dilly Dally the Clown.
