Curmudgeon to perform at Village Homes

By From page A13 | October 25, 2013

Curmudgeon is the featured act at this month’s Village Homes Performers’ Circle, Monday, Oct. 28, at the Village Homes Community Center, 2661 Portage Bay Ave. East.

Ron Bean and Ray Frank are Curmudgeon. Drawing inspiration from many lands and traditions, these skilled players apply the autoharp and guitar to a wide variety of music not commonly associated with their instruments. The duo has been featured at the California Autoharp Gathering both as teachers and performers.

“Our goal is to play the music that moves us,” Frank says.

The Village Homes Performers’ Circle is a free event on the fourth Monday of each month that features performers of all levels and creative expressions. Sign-up begins at 6:45 p.m., with sign-up performances from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. The featured act performs from 8:30 to 9 p.m.
