Dance to Mumbo Gumbo at annual fundraiser

The popular band Mumbo Gumbo once again will perform at the annual “Dance for Human Rights” from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, outdoors at the Davis Art Center, 1919 F St. Funds from the dance support humanitarian groups in El Salvador, Guatemala and Haiti.

Advance tickets are $15 general and $10 for students, available at Watermelon Music, 207 E St. in downtown Davis, and The Beat, 1700 J St. in Sacramento. Tickets at the door will be $20. Children 12 and under who are accompanied by a parent will be admitted free.

Attendees are advised to bring a blanket or a small chair.

The dance concert is sponsored by the Davis Religious Community for Sanctuary and Davis Friends of Rutilio Grande in El Salvador, Davis’ sister city. For more information, call (530) 756-6904.
