Davis Children’s Chorale seeking new members

By From page A7 | August 19, 2014

The Davis Children’s Chorale is accepting new members for the group’s upcoming season.
The season will begin with a fall concert titled “Sun and Moon and Stars.” In December, the Children’s Chorale will join with the Davis Chorale for a Holiday Sing-along Program. Both choirs will perform a variety of holiday music interspersed with holiday favorites for the audience to join in and sing along.
Finally, the spring program will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the timeless classic, “The Sound of Music.” In addition to these three main programs, the chorale also will perform in a variety of community events throughout the year.

The Davis Children’s Chorale is open to children ages 5-14 from Davis and the surrounding areas. Singers rehearse one to two times a week during the academic year, attend a weekend-long retreat in the mountains each fall, and perform in various concerts, festivals, and competitions throughout the year.
Travel ranges from participating in local and regional festivals to inter-state performances to international tours.
