Davis Shakespeare Ensemble present ‘Nightingale’

The Davis Shakespeare Ensemble presents the original play “Nightingale,” inspired by Marie de France’s poem “Laüstic.”

“Nightingale” is a physical theater piece that weaves its story from medieval poetry to blog site entries to shadow puppets. “Nightingale,” directed by Gia Battista, gives voice to silent stories and silenced perspectives.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 6:30 p.m. Sundays, April 5-14, at the Pamela Trokanksi Dance Workshop and Performing Arts Center, 2720 Del Rio Place in Mace Ranch.
