By From page A9 | April 09, 2013

Brian Wetzel’s life became absorbed by a prolonged experience of depression, so of course, he wrote a musical about it.

He will present “Depression: the Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in the Davis Community Church Fellowship Hall, 421 D St. in downtown Davis.

His musical comedy is an entertaining and educational journey through the mental health maze of depression and treatment, including eight original songs and plenty of laughs. Wetzel’s expertise and humor will enlighten people who grapple with this serious and prevalent mental health issue.

Wetzel, who tours nationally, is a professional speaker and comedian. He was honored with a Real Heroes Award by the American Red Cross and is recognized by the National Alliance on Mental Health.

Suggested donations are $10-$15, but all are welcome regardless of ability to pay. For additional information, contact the church office at 530-753-2894 or dccpres.org.
