For the second year in a row, Davis High School Class of 2010 alumni will present a concert during the holiday break to benefit the DHS Band Boosters. Last year’s concert drew an enthusiastic crowd of 300.

This year’s event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Brunelle Performance Hall at DHS, 315 W. 14th St. Performers include Jon Hatamiya (Manhattan School of Music), trombone; Colin McDaniel (Brubeck Institute/UCLA), drums; Neil Heaton (McGill), piano/keyboard; Erik Maroney (UC Davis), bass; and Oscar Garibay (Sacramento State), trumpet.

They will  present a concert of original music for varying instrumentations, as well as some reinterpretations of jazz and pop standards.

“This is a unique opportunity to see some of DHS’ finest alumni musicians all return home to make music together,” a news release said.

Special guest musicians will include Albert Baliwas on alto sax, Zach Darf on tenor sax and Arlyn Anderson on guitar.

Tickets are $10 general and $5 for DHS students with ID and will be sold at the door. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Davis High School Band Boosters.
