DMTC to host summer theater workshop
The Davis Musical Theatre Company will offer its annual Summer Youth Theater Workshop for students age 7-17 beginning July 8. The workshop costs $175 per student and will be taught by Jan Isaacson and Helen Spangler.
The students will learn the basics of acting, singing, dance steps, vocal projection and other basic performing skills through theater games, improvisation and beginning scene study. It will culminate into a recital of songs and scenes. The free recital will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1.

The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to noon on July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31.
