The newest production of the Davis Musical Theatre Company’s Young Performers Theatre “Pinocchio” opens Saturday, Nov. 24, and runs through Sunday, Dec. 16.
This children’s classic is set in the Italian Alps and follows the little wooden puppet who longs to become a real boy, and whose nose grows whenever he bends the truth. Just in time for the holidays, DMTC’s whimsical production will delight audiences of all ages, and includes memorable songs such as “I Don’t Want to Go to School” and “Buon Giorno.”
The show is directed and choreographed by Jan Isaacson, with musical direction by Utsav Bhargava.
Performances are at 2:15 p.m. Saturdays, Nov. 24, Dec. 1, Dec. 8 and Dec. 15; 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16; and 7:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.
The cast includes actors from Davis, Vacaville and Sacramento, featuring: Pinocchio (Noa Solorio), Geppetto (Devin DeGeyter), Angelina (Mia Piazza), the Blue Fairy (Bethany Huff), Signore Volpone (Rebecca Paskowitz), Signore Gatto (Fiona Cubbage), Antonio (Arianna Ruvalcaba), Candlewick (Alana Schoen), Gino (Jenny Karoly) and the Coachman (Matthew Karoly).
