Emerson, Da Vinci to present ‘Once Upon a Mattress’

Emerson and Da Vinci junior highs will present six performances of “Once Upon a Mattress,” this weekend and next.
This musical version of the classic fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea” is adapted for all audiences, and features a sad prince, an overbearing queen and an unconventional princess from the swamplands.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 25; 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27; 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 2-3; and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Special promotions include two-for-one student tickets on Fridays; Royalty Night on Saturday, May 3 — wear a crown, tiara or other royal apparel and get in free; and Family Special on Sunday, April 27, featuring an unlimited family pass for $20.
