By From page A7 | May 01, 2013

Rootstock will host the regional plein air artists event Friday beginning at dusk. Local artists will gather out in front of RootStock, 22 Main St. in downtown Winters, when the sun goes down to paint.

Inside, guests will listen to music by The Phantoms from 6 to 9 p.m., featuring Bruce Brewer on drums, Dwight Howard on the bass, Richard Hemenway on the flattop guitar and J. Cedar Seeger on the Fender. The Phantoms have been singing and playing together in various lineups of local yokels since 1975.
