The Mike Justis Band will play and Route 3 Vineyards will debut its new wine, Detour, this weekend at RootStock, 22 Main St. in Winters.

Singer/songwriter Justis will lead his band from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Based in Northern California, they have been playing folk, blues and Americana music for more than 30 years.

The Mike Justis Band features longtime friends Kathy Barwick (mandolin, resophonic guitar and vocal harmonies) and Steve McLane (electric and acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies). Often, during live performances, the band is amped up with bassists Steve O’Neil and Jeff Sears.

Route 3 will offer free tastings from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday of Detour, a blend of barbera and merlot. Route 3 Wines is part of Yolo Vineyards, a sister company of Joe Muller & Sons family farm.
