Folklorico Latino de Woodland will present its 27th annual showcase, “Baile y Passion por el Norte” (“dance and passion for the north”), on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Woodland Opera House, 340 Second St. in downtown Woodland.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. A matinee full dress rehearsal, without live music, also is planned at 2 p.m. Performers will include both youth and adult dancers of Folklorico Latino de Woodland with special gusts Mariachi Nuevo Continental.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for seniors and children. Matinee tickets are $5.

Funds raised from this event will help support the Marina Ramirez Scholarship Fund and the general fund for Folklorico Latino de Woodland. Two graduating seniors — Alexis Tovar of Woodland and Miguel Vivas of Sacramento — will receive scholarships this year. Both students have shown dedication for dance, community and culture, a news release said.
