Free concert on Picnic Day

By From page A7 | April 17, 2013

Founded in 1961, and in its current location since 1972, the Davis Institute of Religion at 421 Russell Blvd. is celebrating Picnic Day with a 4 p.m. choir concert.

Picnic Day visitors will have a chance to rest their feet Saturday while listening to the choir perform its wide-ranging repertoire: hymns and spirituals to contemporary compositions and even a Baroque parody.

Admission is free and parking is behind the building.
