Fundraiser benefits Whole Earth Festival

By From page A9 | March 19, 2014

Local residents can get a sneak peek Friday evening of what’s to come this Mother’s Day weekend at the Whole Earth Festival’s first kickoff event. To be held at the Third Space Art Collective, 946 Olive Drive, this live music fundraising event will bring the community together for a night of great entertainment.

A diverse lineup of musical performers will begin with the Whole Earth Family Jam at 8 p.m., followed by local talent Alicia Murphy at 9 p.m. Wonderfunk at 10:30 p.m., DJ Lazertooth at midnight and DJ Vee at 1 a.m. Refreshments will be provided for those donning dancing shoes. Attendees also will have the opportunity to learn about Karma Patrol, the festival’s team of volunteers.

Donations for the fundraiser are $8 to $20. For more information, visit wef.ucdavis.edu or the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/WholeEarthFestival.
