Funky Skunk Railroad steams into town

Reggae/ska favorites Funky Skunk Railroad will pull into downtown Woodland on Saturday night, July 16, for their third annual “Concert in the Courtyard” at Steve’s Place Pizza, 714 Main St. The trio will play from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.

Known for their exotic rhythms and engaging melodies, Funky Skunk Railroad plays a powerful blend of reggae and ska numbers, including original songs and cover tunes. Described as a “trio-tour-de-force,” the group hails from Woodland and has performed at venues up and down the Central Valley.

The group includes Owen Sandy, vocals and guitar; Wyatt Jimenez, bass; and Nelson Perez, drums.

Grayson Sandy, a local guitarist and singer will open the show.
