Have a bluesy Valentine at The Palms

By
From page A9 | February 12, 2014 |

The Sacramento-based and internationally-acclaimed band Rick Estrin & The Nightcats will bring their harmonica- and guitar-driven blues at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, to The Palms Playhouse, 13 Main St. in Winters.

Estrin ranks among the very best harp players in the blues world. His work on the reeds is at once deep in the tradition of harmonica masters Sonny Boy Williamson II and Little Walter Jacobs while at the same time pushing that tradition forward. He is joined by the Nightcats — J. Hansen, Lorenzo Farrell, Kid Andersen.

Tickets are $20 and are available at Armadillo Music in Davis, Watermelon Music in Woodland, Pacific Ace Hardware in Winters and at the door if not sold out. For more information, visit palmsplayhouse.com and rickestrin.com.
