Hear a staged reading of ‘Macbeth’

A staged reading of “Macbeth” kicks off Common House Productions’ “Fireside Trilogy” with performances at 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday, April 11-23, at 2737 Loyola Drive in East Davis.

Closing out the trilogy are “Medea,” May 9-11, and “Doctor Faustus,” June 6-8.

“Shakespeare’s tale of otherworldly manipulation invites the audience to witness one man’s descent into ruin,” a news release said. “Through a series of self-fulfilling prophecies, incited by his lady and a trio of eerie figures, Lord Macbeth is driven to a blood-soaked ascent to the crown.

“We invite you to join us … and gather around the campfire for this exhibition of the darkness that dwells in the soul of humankind.”
