By From page A9 | October 31, 2012

Sundstrom Hill Winery will host the band Rayon Vacation (Amplified DNA playing incognito) at its First Saturday event this weekend.

The band, made up of a few founding molecular biologists and a rocket engineer, has performed in various versions at many venues, both locally for the past 20 years, as well as at gigs in Monterey, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, Denmark, and at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

“We are so lucky and excited to welcome both the brains and musical talents of the band, which will feature Randy Berka (vocals, bass), Aubrey Jones (keyboard, vocals), Hal Brunette (Drums, vocals) and Glenn Nedwin (lead and rhythm guitar).¬†Michael Rey (bassist) will be on vacation, thus the name Rayon Vacation,”¬†said Lynne Sundstrom of the winery.

All are welcome to enjoy an afternoon of wine and classic rock and roll and R&B from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the winery, 2744 Del Rio Place in Davis. For more information, call 530-574-1296 or visit sundstromhill.com.
