James Williams with the Midnight Jazz Trio is the featured act Monday, March 24, at the Village Homes Performers’ Circle at the Village Homes Community Center, 2661 Portage Bay Ave. East.

Williams, a Performers’ Circle regular known for stellar a cappella renditions of jazz standards, will blend his distinctive voice with fellow local musicians Robert Blake (lead guitar), Tim Pia (trumpet) and Travis Bradley (bass), who comprise The Midnight Jazz Trio.

The program will feature jazz standards and popular music spanning the late 20th century. Their musical selections emphasizing the coming of spring and the light-heartedness that often accompanies the season are sure to entertain and uplift.

The Village Homes Performers’ Circle is a free event. It features performers of all levels and creative expressions, and takes place the fourth Monday of each month (except December). Sign-up begins at 6:45 p.m., with sign-up performances from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. The featured act performs from 8:30 to 9 p.m.
