Odd Man Out brings its eclectic mix of folk rock, country rock and Americana music to Picnic in the Park on Wednesday, June 25, from 5 p.m. to dark.
The band — which includes Mike Adams, bass guitar, harmonica, lead and background vocals; Bill Knox, rhythm guitar, lead and background vocals; Lenny Goldberg, lead guitar and background vocals; and Bruce Koller, drums, lead and background vocals — has been playing together for ten years at restaurants, breweries and farmers markets. The Market is open from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Davis Food Co-op sponsors the music, and the market’s community partner, Sutter Davis Hospital, sponsors Picnic in the Park. Bring your own picnic or buy dinner at the food fair. Members of Soroptimist International of Davis will pour local beer and wine to raise money for local charities.
Children’s entertainment includes Central Park’s bicycle-powered carousel, Rocknasium’s climbing structure, bounce houses, face-painting and balloon-maker Dilly Dally the Clown.
Spring produce — asparagus, greens, snap peas, lettuces and strawberries — plus local eggs, honey and meat fill the market, with craft booths at the north end.
